Bird’s Next Cookies are part dessert and part hands-on activity, which makes them great for kids or anyone who likes a quick kitchen project. The chocolate and peanut butter mixture coats the crunchy chow mein noodles to form little nests that hold candy eggs in the center. Bird’s Nest Cookie Ingredients

A well-stocked baking cupboard makes recipes like this effortless. Chocolate candy coating melts smoothly, peanut butter adds richness, and the crunchy base gives the nests their shape.

  • chocolate candy coating
  • creamy peanut butter
  • chow mein noodles
  • Malted Mix Robin’s Eggs OR Cadbury Mini Egg candies

You will also need:

  • mixing bowl
  • rubber spatula
  • measuring cups
  • mini muffin pan

You can swap the Malted Milk Eggs or Cadbury Mini Eggs for jelly beans, pastel M&M’s, or any small Easter candy you have on hand. If you have leftover Cadbury Mini Eggs you can make Easter Bark

If you can’t find the chow mein noodles you can swap them out, try pretzels or toasted coconut. Pretzels add a salty bite, while crispy toasted coconut gives a nutty taste.

To Store These Bird’s Nests

Once chilled these bird nests will last quite a while. You don’t need to refrigerate these when storing, the almond bark (chocolate candy coating) is perfectly fine at room temperature. Layer them in a covered container, with waxed paper between the layers, and store in a dry location.
