Mocktail Moscow Mule

A refreshing party drink that lets everyone raise a glass.

If you’re hosting a gathering and want something festive that everyone can enjoy, a Mocktail Moscow Mule is a great choice. It looks just as fun and refreshing as a classic party drink but works for guests who prefer non-alcoholic options. The bright lime and ginger combination makes it feel special without needing complicated ingredients. It’s an easy way to make sure everyone has something good in their glass.

A mocktail Moscow mule is all about the ginger and lime pairing. Ginger beer or ginger ale brings a warm, spicy flavor while fresh lime adds brightness and balance. The club soda brings in the tiniest kick of acidity and a little salt to the drink. Served over ice with a lime slice, this mocktail feels crisp and lively.

Everyone loves a good looking drink at a party. Mocktails like this Mule, a Shirley Temple, or a Mocktail Mojito give guests young and old something fun to sip on without alcohol. They’re easy to mix up and make a table feel a little more festive. It’s a small touch that party goers will definiteley notice.

What You Need To Make This Mocktail

This drink uses only a few ingredients, so quality matters. Fresh lime juice gives the drink its bright flavor, and a good ginger beer or ginger ale provides the signature ginger bite.

  • ice
  • 1 12 ounce Cock and Bull ginger beer, other ginger beer, or ginger ale
  • 2 limes
  • 4 ounces club soda
Two glasses with ice and lime wedges sit on a white surface beside a cutting board with limes, a knife, and a metal spoon; perfect for preparing a refreshing Mocktail Moscow mule. A white towel with a red stripe is nearby.

Changes You Can Make

You can leave out the club soda if you prefer a stronger ginger and lime flavor. Using just ginger beer and lime keeps the drink simple but that club soda just brings a little something special to the drink.

When I made it for my husband he told me it was the best ginger beer drink he’d had. And he drinks them a lot. We taste tested between no club soda, a splash of club soda, to a two ounces of club soda. The clear winner was the drinks with two ounces of club soda.

If you don’t care for ginger beer, which is stronger than ginger ale, you can choose any ginger ale you and your family likes. Any ginger ale you like will work, though many people enjoy the deeper flavor of a strong ginger beer. Milder ginger ales also make a nice version that’s a little lighter.
