Philly Cheesesteak Sliders
Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are a fun and easy way to enjoy the bold flavors of a classic cheesesteak in a bite-sized form. Whether you’re hosting a game day party, looking for an easy dinner, or just craving a cheesy, savory snack, these sliders are the perfect choice. The combination of tender steak, melty cheese, and buttery toasted rolls makes them irresistible.

These sliders bring all the flavors of a traditional Philly cheesesteak—juicy beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and gooey provolone cheese—without the hassle of a full sandwich. Or going to Philly!
The soft slider rolls soak up the flavors, while the melted butter on top adds the perfect browned touch. They’re easy to pull apart and disappear fast, making them a crowd-pleaser for any occasion. Perfect for dinner OR as a party food, you’ll lean on this recipe more than you ever thought you would.

An Easy Philly Recipe
Shaved steak cooks quickly so this little recipe is pretty quick to prepare. And making them sliders instead of subs means you’ve got easy sandwiches everyone loves. Perfect for young kids and adults because you can serve small kids just one slider and adults two or even three.
Or try this Philly Cheesesteak Casserole for another fun easy twist on the classic Philly sandwich. Serve the casserole over bread, pasta, or rice or serve it as is for a low-carb dinner.

Ingredients For These Sliders
Be sure to add these ingredients to your shopping list. And if you do need to substitute ingredients I included some easy swaps down below that way if you can’t make it to the store you’ll be fine.
- green bell pepper, sliced and halved
- yellow onion, quartered and sliced
- shaved steak found in the beef section of the meat counter
- steak seasoning
- provolone cheese
- slider rolls
- butter
Change It Up!
Want to switch things up? Try swapping provolone for white American cheese or even pepper jack for a little spice.
If you prefer a garlic butter topping, mix minced garlic into the melted butter before brushing it over the rolls. A little pinch of garlic powder will do it for you or add a spoonful of jarlic, preminced garlic in a jar.
You can also add mushrooms for extra flavor. Slice them and sauté them before doing the other vegetables and just set them aside until the dish is done. Then add them at the end and and stir to combine.
Use Hawaiian rolls for a hint of sweetness. Or any homemade dinner rolls or sourdough rolls you like. Or make them mega sliders (lol) and put them on regular buns.

Can’t Find Shaved Steak?
Sometimes my local grocery store doesn’t have shaved steak. When that happens I put a steak in the freezer until it’s nearly frozen. Then I sharpen my knife and thinly slice the beef steak across the grain. It’s not as thin as the steak that you can buy preshaved but it’s a close second and it works!
Got Leftovers?
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Wrap in foil and reheat in the oven at 300°F for about 10 minutes. Or the air fryer is a great but much less expensive way to reheat things like this.
