Looking for the best way to cook your fresh corn? Try this super easy recipe for Air Fryer Corn on the cob! You’ll love its roasted goodness and that fresh corn flavor still shines through.
I just got an air fryer and I LOVE IT! Expect to see more air fryer recipes moving forward because it’s a fantastic small kitchen appliance we can all benefit from. If you’re on the fence I say try one, you don’t know what you’re missing!
I bought the Cosori because it’s got a nice big basket that’s perfect for bigger families OR families with teens. We’re in that second category.
My teens love it for its quick cooking of their favorite snack food and breakfast items. I love it for roasting vegetables and making fresh chicken strips, recipe coming soon!
Air Fryer Corn
ANYWAY back to Air Fryer Corn. I know a lot of people love to boil their fresh corn but I am a roasted corn kind of girl through and through. It’s just my favorite way to make corn!
I think it’s the way the individual kernels get a little toasty that I just truly love.
Once I got my air fryer I started looking at everything I was making and trying to figure out if it could go in the air fryer. SPOILER ALERT almost everything can go in the air fryer, and almost everything is better from the air fryer. There I said it.
When my produce box had fresh corn in it I knew what I was doing with it. ROASTED CORN IN THE AIR FRYER. I had to and I am so glad I did.
Cooking Corn in the Air Fryer
How to cook corn in the air fryer:
- Shuck it
- clean off any silk that remains
- brush your favorite oil over every cob
- add salt and pepper to the corn
- roast at 400˚ for 10 minutes
Enjoy the corn hot, right out of the air fryer! Or let it rest and reheat it for 1-2 minutes
How to Shuck Corn Quickly and Easily
To shuck corn simply peel off the outer husk, and any silk you can grab by the tassel on top, and tear it away. Then peel off any remaining silk. A few pieces of the silk may remain but you can easily rinse them off the ears before cooking.
This is the perfect job for kids and it gives them a way to help out. I like to set kids up in the yard where losing some corn silk on the ground doesn’t matter.
What Kind of oil should I use on my Air Fryer Corn?
A vegetable oil or light olive oil works well for corn on the cob in the air fryer. They’re light enough to not impart any flavor on the corn so your corn is the roasted delicious center of attention.
I like to either TOSS it with oil in a bowl to completely cover the corn OR use a pastry brush to brush the oil on the corn. Either way works you just want to make sure you’re covering the whole cob for maximum roasted goodness.
