Tips To Make It Better

Use the toothpick test to check for doneness. The top of the peanut butter bread should be golden, and a toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean. That’s when you know that the bread is finished cooking. To remove the peanut butter bread from the loaf pan, use a butter knife or icing spatula to
loosen up the sides before sliding it out. Since the bread is so soft, you’ll want to make sure to cut the slices with a serrated knife so that it doesn’t crumble as much. It also helps if the bread has cooled.

How To Change Up the Recipe

Peanut butter bread can be used as a comforting breakfast or a full-on indulgent snack! Below
are a few tasty variations.

  • Chocolate chips: Make this bread recipe much more dessert-like by adding some chocolate
chips to the batter or even just sprinkled on top.
  • Add some crunch: Mixing in chopped pecans or almonds can add a bit more texture to the
    bread.
  • Raisins: Adding in some dried fruit gives the bread a sweet and chewy texture which is a nice
    switch.
  • Drizzle: if you’re making this peanut butter bread more indulgent, drizzling it with a chocolate
ganache, caramel sauce, or even honey is a great way to do that.

Serve the bread as-is with a glass of milk; it’ll be your best breakfast. Or you can
top the peanut butter bread with breakfast staples like more peanut butter (crunchy peanut
butter is fun to use here) and your favorite jam, we happen to love carrot cake jam!

How To Store It

Once the bread has cooled, you can store it in an airtight container, sliced or as a loaf.
On the counter, it will last up to 3 days. In the fridge, it stays fresh for up to a week. In the freezer, it will last for up to 3 months.

If storing the bread in the freezer, let it thaw overnight in the fridge if you’ve stored it as a loaf. If
you slice it before freezing, you can just pop the slices into the toaster when you need them.
