Edible Bloody Band-Aids
Bet you’ve never eaten a band-aid before. These creepy little Edible Bloody Band-Aid Cookies are a Halloween party favorite, proving that spooky food doesn’t have to be hard. They may look fussy but they’re actually quick, easy, and definitely memorable.

Don’t let the looks fool you. Underneath the gory design, these are just crisp, sweet vanilla wafer cookies topped with frosting and a smear of red gel. They taste like a fun, sweet treat while looking gross enough to get a laugh.
These Bloody Band-Aid cookies are perfect for Halloween parties, school events, or potlucks where you want to bring something both creepy and edible. They’re fast to assemble, make a big impact on the table, and always get people talking. and they’re definitely Spooky Season approved!
We’ve got other fun Spooky Season eats try these Nutter Butter Halloween Cookies, you can make ghosts or mummies. Try our Spider Web Donuts or Vampire Donuts as well. None of those recipes are as gross as these they’re more tame, if you will.

What You Need To Make Bloody Band-Aids
Making a shopping list helps you grab exactly what you need and makes prep go smoothly. With everything on hand, you can put these together in minutes.
- vanilla wafer cookies (long rectangular ones, not round Nilla wafers)
- premade white frosting in a tube with a tip
- red gel in a tube with a tip
- microplane (you can use a box grater)
- toothpicks

To change it up, you can swap in raspberry or strawberry jelly instead of the red gel. Just make sure it’s jelly, not jam you want a smooth “blood” effect without seeds ruining the look.
If you know how to make royal icing you can totally use it here in place of the cookie icing. But the premade icing bags are so easy to use they’re my preferred method for making these.
To Store These
Cover leftovers loosely and store them in a cool, dark cupboard. They actually look even better after about 12 hours as the red seeps into the frosting, making them look more realistic. And disgusting.
