This easy and tasty recipe for Sweet Cream Iced Coffee was created for Torani as a sponsored post but my views are all my own.
I love coffee.
I love a nice hot cup in the morning to start me off. And then mid-afternoon I enjoy a nice iced coffee with my husband, it’s like having a date every afternoon. We started our iced coffee “dates” a few years ago as a way to decompress after a long day, even IF it’s only for five minutes we try to connect every day.
Our new go-to fave for iced coffee? A Sweet Cream Iced Coffee! Chilled coffee, ice, milk, and a splash of Torani Vanilla Syrup make this Sweet Cream Iced Coffee the perfect afternoon pick me up. And the fact that I can get everything I need right at my local Fred Meyer store makes it so EASY!
How do we make iced coffee? COLD BREW!
How to make cold brew coffee at home. We’ve found that making cold brew coffee at home is so much easier if you have French Press. Simply put the desired amount of coffee in your press, cover with cold water, a refrigerate 12-24 hours. Press and there you have it, cold brew. SO SIMPLE!
You can also make it in a mason jar, although this method is a little messier, it certainly works. After reading through this you’ll probably decide to find a French Press to use.
Simply add grounds to a mason jar, the more coffee the darker cold brew you’ll get. Add cold water, again let it steep overnight and then strain it out. This is the messy part which is why we’ve realized we prefer a French Press for making cold brew.
What if you forget to make cold brew and you still want iced coffee??
USE COLD COFFEE.
We’ve found we regularly forget to set up a cold brew in the fridge so we’ve adapted to using plain cold coffee. We save the extra from our morning coffee pot and put it right in the fridge to keep cold until we make iced coffee.
If we don’t have enough from that method we simply make an extra pot of coffee, let it cool off, and put it in the fridge until it’s time for iced coffee. It all works, believe me!
One more tip? Buy cold coffee at the store. I’ve seen some RIGHT in the dairy coolers by the milk. This sweet cream iced coffee is a great way to use this kind of coffee, it covers up the fact that it tastes different from the kind of coffee you might normally make.
Choose your milk!
We often change up what kind of milk we use too. We love to use cream or half n half but often we just use milk. And if you have a dairy allergy you can use any kind of non-dairy milk you prefer! There’s no wrong way to enjoy a sweet cream iced coffee, just make it work for you!
Add a snack!
The perfect way to make your at-home coffee date even better is to add a little snack. Try these Caramel Apple Doughnuts. They’re baked and SO easy to make!
Coffee House Drinks at Home
My husband and I have just started using syrups and flavors to change up our iced coffee dates. It’s so easy to stir in a Torani Syrup, some half n half, and make our own coffee house drinks right at home. And because it’s made with real sugar and pure flavors it always tastes great!
Torani Vanilla Syrup can be used in so many ways too. Add a dash to your frozen coffee milkshake for a fun new flavor. Or my kid’s ultimate drink, an Italian Soda! It always mixes up so easily that you can use it in just about any drink you like.
So what’s your favorite way to use Torani in a drink?? Hot? Cold? Blended? No matter which way you go a splash of Torani makes it better. You can find it in all the Kroger and Fred Meyer Stores!
