- 4 pound pork shoulder roast
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 2 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 2-3 sprigs each of thyme and sage
- 2-3 lbs potatoes small red or yukon gold potatoes
- 1 lb baby carrots
Place pork in slow cooker, and pour in broth
Sprinkle in onion and garlic around roast
sprinkle roast and vegetables with salt and pepper
Drizzle Worcestershire sauce over roast
add thyme and sage sprigs
Place lid on slow cooker, and cook on high for 2 ½ hours
Add potatoes and carrots
cover and cook another 90 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and roast is fully cooked
