Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Ingredients

  • 3 bell peppers your preference of color
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 lbs beef round steak, sirloin steak
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 Tablespoon low salt beef broth powder or 3 low salt bouillon cubes crushed
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  • Deseed and slice bell peppers into strips

  • peel the garlic and chop the garlic
  • slice the beef into thin 3/4-1 inch strips strips and cut them to bite size pieces as needed

  • Add vegetables and beef to slow cooker

  • Whisk remaining ingredients together, and pour over beef, etc.

  • Stir all together, and cover with lid

  • Cook for 4 hours on high, or 6-8hours on low

Notes

Note: The cornstarch thickens the liquid, but only slightly, to make more of a gravy, you can stir 2 tablespoons of cornstarch into a half cup of beef broth or water and stir it into the mixture while it’s still piping hot.
