Baked Dressing
This easy Baked Thanksgiving Dressing is ready to roll when make it ahead of time.

- 1 cup butter divided
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning or use italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic granules or garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt more to taste
- 1 3/4 cup chicken broth use whatever you like best or have on hand or homeade stock
- 12 ounce corn bread stuffing mix I used Mrs. Cubbison's
preheat the oven to 350°
butter a 9x13 baking dish, set aside
heat 3/4 cup of butter in a large frying pan
add the onion and celery
cook and stir until the onion and celery is soft
add the garlic, seasoning, and salt
turn off the heat
stir in the stufing mix
slowly add enough of the broth to make a very moist stuffing
taste the stuffing, add more salt, herbs or garlic as needed
spoon the stuffing into the prepared baking dish
dot with remaining 1/4 cup of butter
cover with foil
bake for 30-45 minutes
serve hot
