Apple Crumble

Is there anything better than a seasonal dessert that features fresh apples? I don't think there is! This Apple Crumble recipe is perfect for Fall apple picking days!

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 4 cups apples cored and sliced, peeled or not!
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice

Topping:

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter room temperature
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350º
  • Toss the apple slices with the rest of the filling ingredients together in a bowl

  • Combine flour and sugars for the topping in a large mixing bowl
