Spicy Edamame Recipe

- 2 cups frozen edamame
- 1 1/2 tsp olive oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
- 2 pinches red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
heat 1/2 cup of water in a 10 inch skillet over medium heat
add the frozen edamame, cover and steam 3-4 minutes
mince garlic and grate ginger if not already done
once the edamame is done drain any remaining water
put the skillet back over medium heat and toss the edamame to dry it off
push the edamame to the back of the skillet
pour the oil in the open space heat for 1 minutes
add the garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes, and stir until fragrant, 30 seconds or so
then toss together with the edamame
sprinkle with salt and sesame seeds and serve hot
- add more heat to this recipe by sprinkling on chili oil or more red pepper flakes
- adjust the salt to your taste, I originally started with no salt an had to add it until it tasted good to me
