Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon optional
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter cold, divided
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon (optional), and baking soda
