whisk the first 6 ingredients together, set aside
cream the butter and brown sugar together
beat in the egg
stir in the molasses
gradually add the flour mixture until well combined
gather the dough in a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap
chill for a minimum of 2-4 hours
to make: preheat the air fryer at 300˚ for five minutes
roll out the cookie dough on a lightly floured surface
cut out as desired, if making the design pictured cut out round cookies
when the air fryer is preheated lay a piece of parchment paper in the basket
lay as many cookies as will fit, roughly 1 inch apart
bake on 300˚ for 5-8 minutes until baked through
cool on baking rack
repeat rolling and cutting with the remaining dough
to decorate as shown: Start by making a large half circle on the cookie with your blue icing, fill it in. This will be the sky
Then cover the rest of the cookie with the white icing by making a smaller half circle for the bottom, that meets the blue
make a few small white dots on your blue sky – to give the impression of the snow falling
you can also add some white sugar sprinkles on the bottom white for snow
set aside to firm up
Using your thick, green icing pipe out a small triangle on the snowy ground in the shape of a tree
Carefully add a star sprinkle to the top and a few other sprinkles on the tree to give the illusion of ornaments
frosting needs time to set up before storing or serving
