Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 baguette
  • 6 ounces fresh goat cheese
  • 4-5 fresh figs
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • preheat the oven to 450˚
  • warm the honey in a small saucepan just until it is soft enough to drizzle
  • slice the baguette into 3/4-1 inch slices
  • place 9 in an 10 inch in cast iron skillet
  • place in the hot oven 3-4 minutes until the bread is just starting to toast
  • meanwhile, slice the figs
  • when the bread is done crumble half the goat cheese on top of the toast
  • place back in the oven to warm just briefly
  • remove and add a slice of fig to each toast
  • sprinkle with chopped pecans
  • drizzle with honey and serve warm
