- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 baguette
- 6 ounces fresh goat cheese
- 4-5 fresh figs
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
preheat the oven to 450˚
warm the honey in a small saucepan just until it is soft enough to drizzle
slice the baguette into 3/4-1 inch slices
place 9 in an 10 inch in cast iron skillet
place in the hot oven 3-4 minutes until the bread is just starting to toast
meanwhile, slice the figs
when the bread is done crumble half the goat cheese on top of the toast
place back in the oven to warm just briefly
remove and add a slice of fig to each toast
sprinkle with chopped pecans
drizzle with honey and serve warm
