I’ve been gone from this space for a long time-just about a month now and it’s been a great month, a long month, and at time an astonishing month of travel.
So many things I thought I’d only ever see in pictures I’ve now seen in real life. The Eiffel Tower, the Mona Lisa, the Sistine Chapel, Vatican City, the Parthenon, Notre Dame, the list could go on and on and on. After the shock of seeing these huge monuments in real life, touching them, being right next to them or on them as in the case of the Acropolis, it’s hard to assimilate back to life in Alaska but here we are. And snow is expected at any day. Or so my boys hope.
I have a lot to share here but if you want to see more photos now check out my Instagram feed I’ve been sharing photos of the trip over there a lot. I had grand plans to write while traveling but when your step count averages 15,000-19,000 a DAY you’re exhausted at the end of the day. And you probably fall asleep sitting up in bed. Or on the couch. Or reading to kids. Or all three. True story!
“How did you afford that??” is a question I get asked a LOT. I plan to answer that in a later post, for everyone who has asked or wondered and been too polite to ask. I’ll try NOT to bore you with the minute details while also attempting to explain how we could afford it, that should be an interesting read!
Well anyway I’m back here, and we’re back in real life, and it’s back to winter weather so I’m going to go find a blanket and tuck in for winter. Cheers!
