Mmmm buttery cookies, caramel, chocolate, marshmallow, and a sprinkle of sea salt make this Salted Caramel S’mores Recipe one of the best ways to enjoy s’mores!
This is definitely an adult s’mores and my kids prefer regular s’mores. But hey if your kids like salted caramel and fancy butter cookies they’ll love these s’mores!
Tell your hips I said I’m sorry in advance! You’re going to make these and they’re just going to have to deal with it.
Salted Caramel S’Mores Use What You Love
These can be made in a myriad of ways but I’ll just give the basics and you can switch it up however you want.
For instance, I used these GORGEOUS and delicious buttery Breton Galletes. Use ANY buttery shortbread style cookie you can find in your stores. It doesn’t HAVE to be fancy imported butter cookies. Want them and can’t find them locally? Grab them on Amazon!
Ghirardelli Milk and Caramel Squares worked well but use any kind of chocolate-covered caramel you can get. They sell bulk tubs of chocolate covered caramels at Costco, they’re big but they work!
Now they even have salted caramel squares so you’re set! Salted Caramel has definitely become more popular and brands are catching up to the demand, so a quick check down the candy aisle will yield lots of choices.
Use any soft puffy marshmallows you like. I don’t recommend homemade marshmallows for s’mores because in my experience they puff up and melt. Not what you’re looking for in a s’more.
Sea salt is again your preference, use what you have or love. Even kosher salt works just fine for flakes.
I think as long as you have melted marshmallow, caramel/chocolate, crunchy cookie, and sea salt you’re good, so have fun.
And invite me. No, seriously invite me over.
