Smokey Stuffed Hamburger Steaks

Smokey Stuffed Hamburger Steaks

You know I kind of felt like the last time I bought a new grill that maybe I wanted a fancy smoker instead of just a grill. But we decided it would be more practical to just have a grill because when would we EVER have time to smoke? Well guess what with new Smokin’-Os you can have all the smokey flavor you long for without the hassle and fuss of a smoker. And because they’re made right here in the USA you know you’re getting exactly what they say you’re getting, 100% real wood, no filler no binders, just pure smoky flavor. The Applewood variety is just over the TOP flavor, a clear family fave!

  3. mix the beef, worcestershire sauce, garlic, and salt together
  4. divide in half, and then in half again
  5. make two oval patties
  6. top evenly with bacon and 4 TBSP of the shredded cheddar
  7. make two more oval patties and top the burgers, pinching and reshaping to make sure they stay sealed
  8. add one Smokin-Os to your grill and let it start smoking, about 5 minutes, once it smokes move it to cooler spot on the grill
  9. then place steaks on the grill, over medium heat, close the lid and let them smoke away
  10. grill for approximately 10 minutes on one side, flip and let them finish cooking, when the juices run clear they are done, be aware that is you smash the burgers with a spatula they will sort of explode and spray out cheesy juiciness
  11. when they're done remove from the heat, sprinkle with the remaining cheese and serve
Recipe Notes
  • You'll need one Smokin'-Os smoke ring to make these taste smokey from your gas grill
