Fresh Summit 2017

In ONE short week I’ll be in New Orleans for the Produce Marketers Association’s Fresh Summit. It’s one of the largest (if not THE largest) produce trade shows in the United States. How come I’m going? I’m part of a social media team put together by the AWESOME Casey Benedict of KitchenPlay and more recently Pitch Power Pro. There will be 8 bloggers sharing ALL the innovations direct from the show floor. Follow the fun by following our hashtag #TeamFreshSummit and see all the newest things coming to a produce aisle near you. Of course check out their web page too, PMA.

#TeamFreshSummit

Thursday is all industry panels and talks and lots of interesting things to see and hear from the insiders viewpoint. Friday and Saturday are the trade show. And when I say TRADE SHOW I mean a show to end all shows. 1200+ vendors ALL trying to connect with producers, packagers, innovators and buyers for all the BIG corportations. There samples, cocktails, contests, shenanigans and so much more going on. And I’ll be right in the thick of it bring it all to world. Follow that #TeamFreshSummit hashtag to see all the fun and be sure to follow me on facebook as I’ll be trying to go LIVE from the floor a couple of times a day. Where will you find me? The recharge lounge? The Idaho Potato Commission booth? Wherever I am I’ll be sharing what I can, when I can. Find me on twitter at @LttlHouseBigAK or on Facebook for those Live videos where literally ANYTHING can happen.

Little House Big Alaska in New Orleans!

I’ve got some fun plans in the works too. Like jazz brunch at the Court of Two Sisters in the courtyard! They serve turtle soup, I’m not sure I’ll be indulging in it but it sounds intriguing. Obviously though there are a LOT of choices on their brunch menu so I won’t go hungry. Expect to see a FULL report on our brunch after Fresh Summit. And I’m also going on an evening swap tour with Cajun Encounters. I’m equal parts terrified and thrilled! I’ve also given myself a lot of walking time to just get out and feel the city.

This is my second time attending Fresh Summit as part of #TeamFreshSummut but I’ve never been to New Orleans before so that’s ALL new to me. Do you have any recommendations on what to do or see in the cirt? Leave me a comment OR drop me an email. And if you have ANY questions about the expo or products in particular please feel free to ask away and I will do my best to get you an answer.
